Lesson Registration
Lesson Registration & Pricing
At the Griffon String Academy, we believe high-quality music education should be within reach for every family.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, all lesson rates are already subsidized by 50%. Families may also choose from three pricing tiers based on the level of financial support that works best for them.
Our tiered pricing is based on the honor system. Your selection is confidential, and choosing a different tier will never affect the quality of instruction your student receives. Every student receives the same one-on-one instruction from professional musicians of the Griffon String Quartet.
Tier A – Full Value
$120 / 60 min | $90 / 45 min | $60 / 30 min
Tier A reflects the full cost of providing high-quality, one-on-one instruction at the Griffon String Academy, without the standard 50% donor subsidy.
Families who are able to choose Tier A help extend the impact of donor support, allowing more of those resources to provide additional financial assistance to students and families who need it.
Choosing Tier A is entirely optional and is one meaningful way to help sustain accessible, high-quality music education in our community.
Tier B – Standard Rate
$60 / 60 min | $45 / 45 min | $30 / 30 min
This is our standard, donor-subsidized lesson rate. These prices reflect a 50% subsidy from the actual cost of providing lessons.
Choosing Tier B helps sustain the Griffon String Academy and supports our ability to make highquality music instruction accessible to more students in our community.
Tier C – Additional Support
$30 / 60 min | $22.50 / 45 min | $15 / 30 min
Tier C provides an additional 50% reduction from our standard rate for families who would benefit from greater financial support.
No application or financial documentation is required. Families are welcome to choose this tier based on what works best for them. Donor generosity makes this additional support possible.
Tier D – Fully Supported
No-Cost Lessons
Tier D provides fully subsidized lessons for families who would otherwise be unable to participate.
If fully supported lessons would make participation possible for your family, please reach out to us. No formal scholarship application is required, and all inquiries are confidential.
Thank You to Our Donors!
Our tiered pricing is possible because of generous donors who believe every student should have the opportunity to experience high-quality music education.
Their support helps keep our standard lesson rates affordable while providing additional assistance to families who need it.

Registration FAQs
How do I choose a pricing tier?
Choose the tier that best fits your family’s circumstances. Our tiered pricing is based on the honor system, and your selection is confidential. No financial documentation is required.
Will my pricing tier affect my child’s lesson experience?
Not at all. Every student receives the same high-quality, one-on-one instruction regardless of the pricing tier selected. Your tier does not affect lesson length, teacher assignment, or the quality of your student’s experience.
Why do you offer tiered pricing?
We want high-quality string instruction to be accessible to students from families with a range of financial circumstances. Donor support allows us to subsidize every lesson and provide additional assistance to families who need it.
What if my financial situation changes?
You may change pricing tiers if your circumstances change. Simply contact us, and we’ll be happy to help.
Do I need to apply for financial assistance?
No formal application or financial documentation is required. Families who would benefit from additional support may select Tier C. If fully subsidized Tier D lessons would make participation possible for your family, please contact us confidentially.
