The program takes care to acknowledge intellectual and social needs of this stage of life. \n“Third Avenue PlayWorks is thrilled to collaborate with Midsummer’s Music and the Griffon String Quartet to host Clara Takarabe for this incredible series of events\,” said Jacob Janssen\, the Jackie & Steve Kane Artistic Director of Third Avenue PlayWorks. “We have long intuited the healing power of music and art\, but Clara’s research at Northwestern University is proving the scientific efficacy of music in the healing process. DESCRIPTION:Music for Food is a musician-led initiative for local hunger relief. Music for Food concerts raise resources and awareness in the fight against hunger\, empowering any musicians who wish to use their artistry to further social justice. The concert is free and features Midsummer’s Music resident ensemble\, the Griffon String Quartet. The cost of admission is a food donation or funds to benefit the 24/7 Food Pantry\, a lifeline for those in need.
