Bring music history to life with a visit from the Griffon String Quartet! This special experience will immerse a Green Bay homeschool co-op in the sounds, stories, and ideas behind some of the most powerful works in classical music. As students explore Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Brahms’ Symphony No. 3, and Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings, the quartet will connect these masterpieces directly to the themes of the Classical and Romantic periods—from balance and form to passion, drama, and national identity.
Through live performance, guided listening, and interactive discussion, students will hear how composers used melody, harmony, and rhythm to express revolutionary ideas and deep emotion. This engaging, curriculum-rich visit transforms textbook learning into a vivid, unforgettable experience—helping students not just study the music, but truly understand it.
