Ian Wasserman

Cello

Ian Wasserman is an accomplished cellist with a wide range of experience as both a performer and educator. He has performed with the Charlotte Symphony, Charleston Symphony, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Dayton Philharmonic, and other ensembles across the country.

In addition to his performance career, Ian has taught cello and chamber music at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, the University of Kentucky, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, and Brookfield Academy’s Coda Program.

Ian has studied with and been mentored by several renowned cellists, including Stefan Kartman, Benjamin Karp, John Sharp, Jeffrey Zeigler, and Peter J. Thomas. Their guidance has helped shape his musical voice and teaching philosophy, which emphasizes clarity, connection, and expressive depth.
