When I retired a couple of years ago and moved to Door County, I decided to make chamber music a larger part of my life. To my delight I learned that Midsummer’s Music offers world-class and world-appreciated chamber music right here in beautiful Door County! I could not have found a better organization to help grow my musical appreciation than Midsummer’s Music.
Midsummer’s Music provides diverse cultural, historical and scenic musical experiences in intimate performance venues across Door County that put you close to the musicians as they explore fantastic pieces. As a result, you experience an invigorating performance in stunning locations among friendly fellow music-lovers. In the last 30 (yes 30!) years Midsummer’s Music has grown to produce more than 40 summer programs and, with the addition of the Griffon String Quartet, they now offer over 100 events throughout the year.
