Midsummer’s Music: Surprising surprises in next program

Jim Berkenstock-headshot_webStarting June 30, Midsummer’s Music Festival will present the first of four concerts titled “Surprising Masters.” Three of these concerts will be in gorgeous homes, all on the water, from Gills Rock to just north of Sturgeon Bay. The fourth will be in Old Town Hall in Fish Creek.

The “masters” are Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. On the surface, the “surprising” part stems from the work by Haydn, his “Surprise Symphony” (No. 94).
